Mezcal & Agave Spirits Reviews

3000 Noches Arroqueno
3000 Noches Arroqueno
MM Vicente Sanchez Parada Nose: Gingerbread cookies, menthol, crushed agave, marshmallows. Palate: Sweet cream and lemon drops, charred jalapenos, brine; a warm and lingering finish.

Alipus Destilado en Barro (San Miguel Sola)
Alipus Destilado en Barro (San Miguel Sola)
Fiercely hot and peppery when I first opened the bottle, really not enjoyable at that time. But a month or so later it's mellowed. Still hot — alcohol burn and peppery spice — but now I can taste other things too.

Bozal Ancestral Cupreata
Bozal Cenizo
No lot information on bottle; 49% ABV. From freshly opened 250mL bottle at home. Great minerality and traditional smoke profile.

Bruxo No. 1 Espadin
Bruxo X
Predominantly Espadin, this is smoky and earthy with lots of black pepper and a bit of greenness probably from the bicuishe. One of my first entry level mezcals.

Casa Manglar Espadin
Casa Manglar Madrecuishe
The best mezcal I've ever tasted. Absolutely stunning smoky notes perfectly balanced with hints of citrus and herbs.
