AGAVESKOOL is the world's most complete agave spirits education platform. We document mezcal, tequila, raicilla, bacanora, and every agave spirit with the depth they deserve, in a category too often shaped by marketing instead of substance.

At its core, agave is a product of land, time, people, and tradition. We exist to help people understand it on those terms

Why we built it

BRINGING AGAVE EDUCATION ONLINE WITHOUT LOSING ITS SOUL

For years, the most meaningful agave education has happened face to face — one tasting, one masterclass, one conversation at a time. That approach is powerful, but limited in reach and difficult to scale. AGAVESKOOL was created to translate that depth into a digital format without losing authenticity, context, or accuracy.

Luis and Cesar worked together for years through Mako Digital, building platforms and digital systems across multiple industries. That foundation shaped how AGAVESKOOL approaches structured learning, scalable information, and how people engage online.

Luis then went deep into the agave trade through Bandida Mezcal, representing the brand at international trade shows, leading tastings and masterclasses across Europe, and working directly with distributors, importers, and bar managers. Cesar continued building the technical infrastructure that would eventually power AGAVESKOOL.

Experience inside the agave ecosystem

That hands-on work spanned international markets, particularly in Europe, working directly with distributors, importers, buyers, bar managers, and hospitality teams.

That experience made one thing clear: the agave story doesn't end at production. It continues through export, logistics, packaging decisions, regulatory compliance, trademarks, and the commercial and legal frameworks that shape how a spirit is positioned and understood once it leaves its place of origin.

THE FULL LIFE CYCLE OF AGAVE SPIRITS

Agave landscape with mountains

We bring together structured information on brands, labels, agave species, regions, and production methods, along with the commercial realities that follow. We also publish educational content on history, culture, trade, and modern market dynamics.

OUR GOAL IS NOT TO SIMPLIFY AGAVE — IT'S TO EXPLAIN IT CLEARLY, SO NEWCOMERS AND PROFESSIONALS CAN ENGAGE AT THEIR OWN DEPTH

Our approach 5

AGAVESKOOL is built by people who understand both the agave industry and the technology behind modern platforms. We avoid gatekeeping.

We respect tradition without romanticizing it. We prioritize accuracy over hype. Education stays central, but delivered in a way that feels modern, accessible, and relevant.
