Juerte Destilado de Pulque

Juerte Destilado de Pulque is produced by Gerónimo Rosainz. The story goes that he was told about destilado de pulque by his grandmother, but it wasn’t until he married a chemical engineer in the mid-90s that he actually began the process of learning how to produce it himself. His wife helped him procure the necessary equipment, and together they decided to re-initiate this centuries-old tradition and began selling their destilado de pulque in their village in northeast Tlaxcala.
