Maestros del Mezcal (MDM)

Maestros del Mezcal (MDM) is an organization composed of hundreds of producers in various regions, within all the Mexican states that make Mezcal. Through social organization, they maintain, promote and protect the rich culture, history, and natural resources behind traditional mezcal. Maestros del Mezcal provides financial and technical support to better palenques, reforest agave in danger of extinction, and reforest trees used as fuel for production. Another purpose of the organization is to gain access to foreign markets, establish price standards, and in general better the standard of living in the Mezcal producing regions.
