Agave de Cortes Joven
Agave de Cortes Joven is a mezcal made from Angustifolia agave in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. Producer Francisco Cortes Hernandez uses copper stills for this 45% ABV spirit from agaves aged eight to ten years. Light smoke and sweet agave aromas lead to a palate of cooked agave, cinnamon, and eucalyptus. A clean finish offers moderate sweetness without aggressive heat or heavy smoke intensity. This straightforward profile suits cocktails and beginners seeking an accessible introduction to the category while maintaining drinkability for everyday consumption.
