Agave Macho Espadin-Cuishe Añejo

Oaxaca

Agave Macho Espadin-Cuishe Añejo is a mezcal aged in oak. Roman Rosendo distills Angustifolia and Karwinskii agave from San Isidro Guishe, Oaxaca. The copper still imparts clean flavors to the 40% ABV spirit. Aged for at least one year, the wood adds deeper color and barrel character. This mature expression balances fresh agave traits with distinct oak notes, offering a structured profile that honors traditional Oaxacan methods while delivering the complexity expected from an añejo classification in this specific region.

Agave Macho Mezcal

About the Brand

Agave Macho is produced in San Isidro Guishe in Miahuatlán, Oaxaca by Maestro Mezcalero Don Roman Rosendo. There, a 3,500-acre ranch serves as a collective of small palenques that have been producing mezcal together since 1931. The Agave Macho line consists of ensemble blends of estate agave varietals. All ensembles are created with a common base of 50% Espadin and a rare wild agave. Agave Macho only harvests maguey varietals that are mature so varieties are subject to availability. Agave Macho is imported and distributed by Juice Mongers in the United States.
