Almatitán Tequila Añejo
Almatitán Tequila Añejo is a spirit defined by its adherence to strict Mexican regulations. Tequila requires Agave tequilana Weber variedad azul and originates from Jalisco or specific municipalities in Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. This label falls under the Añejo classification, which mandates aging in oak barrels for at least one year. The vessels cannot exceed 600 liters, allowing the liquid to develop deeper color and more barrel character than younger expressions. Every bottle carries a NOM number identifying the certified distillery, ensuring traceability and compliance with the denomination of origin established in 1974.
