Alteño Reposado is a Jalisco tequila from NOM 1111, distilled twice and aged in wood. This 40% abv spirit uses Tequilana agave grown in the Los Altos Southern region. The nose offers light sweet cooked agave with hints of acidity, pineapple, and citrus. A subtle soapy aroma persists through the medium to almost long finish. Earthiness and sourness appear subtly in the nose, yet the body lacks depth. The palate confirms these notes while introducing a light soapy aroma that lingers. This profile reflects the highland character of the agave source material used here.
