Asombroso Extra Añejo 5 Year is a five-year aged tequila from Jalisco. This spirit uses Tequilana agave and carries NOM 1424. It is cooked in an autoclave and milled with screw mills. Fermentation occurs in stainless steel tanks before double distillation in copper pots. The profile features heavy vanilla, caramel, and butterscotch notes from new French oak. Agave character remains subdued by these dominant barrel influences. Cherry and spice aromas emerge alongside a dry finish. The sweetness appeals to those who favor dessert-like flavors over agave prominence. This expression offers a distinct alternative to traditional styles.
