Creyente Tobala is a mild, sweet mezcal blend from the Cuervo family. Agave Potatorum from Tlacolula, Oaxaca provides a super light profile with strong berry notes and slight vegetal hints on the nose. Producers Mijail Zarate and Pedro Mateo mill this spirit in a tahona before distilling it in copper stills under NOM-O220X. The palate is notably sweet with a touch of pepper, delivering an exceptionally smooth finish that some find too subtle. This bottle appeals to those seeking a gentle introduction, though its light character may fade upon extended sipping.

About the Brand
Mezcal Creyente was launched in the summer of 2016 by the tequila giant José Cuervo. They currently market a single blended mezcal to the international market. Creyente means “believer” in Spanish, as the brand was founded on the belief that anything is possible.
