D'Mendez Tequila Gold is a Joven tequila, representing the young expression of this protected Mexican spirit. Since 1974, tequila has been defined by its use of Agave tequilana Weber variedad azul, the blue agave. Production is strictly limited to Jalisco and designated municipalities in Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. While Joven often denotes an unaged spirit bottled after distillation, tequila regulations allow this category to include blends of blanco with aged varieties or expressions softened by permitted additives. Aromatic profile with a combination of citrus, fruity, herbal and sweet notes. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine and grapefruit stand out, accompanied by apple yellow, mint and cinnamon, along with a sweet caramel note. The intensity aromatic is average, as is the alcoholic sensation.
