Derrumbes Guerrero is a Joven Destilado de Agave from Coyuca de Catalán, Guerrero. Producer Israel Ríos Bucio uses Cupreata agave for this spirit. Milling occurs via shredder, followed by copper distillation. The nose offers savory cheese, melon, and honey notes. Distinct vegetal aromas accompany these sweet fruit scents. Roasted vegetables and peppery heat define the palate. Sweet mango and cantaloupe flavors emerge clearly here. Chalky textures appear alongside milk chocolate in the finish. Dryness balances well with soft fruit undertones throughout. Tart citrus and chamomile sit alongside charred nopal. Clay, sweet nectarines, and tangerine shape the mid-palate.

The aftertaste shows an average persistence, dominated by citrus notes and fruity. Notes of pineapple, orange and lime are perceived. About the Brand
From Oaxaca to Michoacan and beyond, Derrumbes bottles many varieties of mezcal that are made using different agave and production methods. They have spirits from different states in Mexico, and they bottle some very small producers that are not available elsewhere. In 2024, Gallo took an undisclosed stake in the company.
