El Buho Especial Jabali
El Buho Especial Jabali is a joven mezcal distilled from the rare Convallis agave by Octavio Jiménez Monterroza in Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca. It rests for eight months in stainless steel before bottling at fifty percent alcohol by volume under NOM-O110X. Clear aromas of lilac, honeysuckle, and white flowers emerge with subtle notes of vanilla and wood. On the palate, floral character blends with smoke, sweet orange, and mint alongside hints of sweet potato. This elegant profile balances gentle sweetness with mild spice and delicate complexity. The spirit offers an approachable yet refined taste that reveals its character slowly.

El Buho Mezcal was founded by Jose Isaac “Pepe” Jimenez Mendez, who comes from a long line of mezcal producers, and TJ Steele, a Brooklyn-based chef. TJ and Pepe launched their mezcal brand with a mission to deliver a high-quality mezcal at an affordable price in an iconic bottle. El Buho Mezcal is a small batch mezcal that is made in the heart of Oaxaca.
