La Pulga Salmiana is a Joven mezcal bottled at forty percent alcohol by volume. The nose presents notes of lemon-lime candy, thyme, rosemary, and new leather. On the palate, the spirit feels soft and smooth with flavors of grapefruit and a hint of simple syrup. It offers a lingering warmth that remains delicate and inoffensive throughout the finish. This expression is very clean, yet it carries an almost antiseptic character that sets it apart from heavier profiles. About the Brand
La Pulga is a spirits brand that offers many different types of Mexican spirits: tequila, mezcal, and sotol. The brand was founded by three Fort Worth natives – Sarah Castillo, a well-known and respected Ft. Worth restauranteur (Taco Heads, Tinies Mexican Cuisine, Sidesaddle Saloon); Andrew De La Torre, a club owner and the operator of the Northside Fort Worth open-air market; and Stephen Slaughter, a local entrepreneur.
