Macurichos Coyote Salvaje is a Joven mezcal from Lote CYTB-01, bottled as number twenty-eight of thirty-six. The nose presents dark and ashy notes with earthy pine corns, tree sap, warm clay, and pungent lime peels. The palate offers stewed fruits like black cherries and berries alongside clay minerality, bell peppers, and savory BBQ meat. A thick and oily mouthfeel accompanies significant heat on the tongue. The finish lasts for minutes, delivering hot red peppers and red berries in a lingering close.

Color: Crystalline, very bright, with slight cold flashes could be perceived such as silver, very faint bluish or cold light gray under certain lighting conditions. Clarity: Clean and transparent, without impurities or turbidity.
Olfactory Phase
Aromatic profile with a combination of citrus, fruity, herbal and sweet notes. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine and grapefruit stand out, accompanied by apple yellow, mint and cinnamon, along with a sweet caramel note. The intensity aromatic is average, as is the alcoholic sensation.

About the Brand
Led by maestro mezcalero Gonzalo Martinez, Mezcal Macurichos is dedicated to the protection of the cultural tradition and the agricultural heritage of agave within the iconic mezcal production community of Santiago Matatlán, Oaxaca, Mexico. The family employs numerous neighbors and is one of the rare distillers the area who still produce using Ancestral methods, including clay pot stills. Gonzalo and his brothers cultivate their own diverse fields of agave – planting from seed and reforesting the diminishing wild agave populations.
