Maguey Melate Sotol, Salvador Isidro Derma Piñon is a Joven spirit from Chihuahua. Produced by Salvador Isidro Derma Piñon in Potrero del Llano, this copper-distilled agave comes from plants aged nine to twelve years. Aromas of spearmint, dried grass, and candied orange peel define the nose. The palate balances sweet vanilla and sarsaparilla with savory white pepper and cumin. Mineral undertones provide structure against a finish of charred peppers and mint. This 44.1% ABV bottling offers a bright yet dry profile distinct in the category.
