4 Vientos Reposado is a tequila, an agave spirit protected by Mexican denomination of origin since 1974. Production is limited to Jalisco and designated municipalities in Guanajuato, Michoacán, Nayarit and Tamaulipas. It must be made from Agave tequilana Weber variedad azul, the blue agave. This label is a reposado, meaning it rests in oak containers for at least two months and less than one year. The short time in wood adds light color and rounds the spirit while the agave stays in front. This definition places 4 Vientos Reposado within the reposado category of tequila production.
