Agua del Sol Pelon Verde, Reyna Rodriguez Ramirez is a joven destilado de agave from Yautepec, Oaxaca. Reyna Rodriguez Ramirez mills the pelón verde agave in a tahona before copper distillation. The spirit bottles at 46.5 percent alcohol by volume, offering smoky savory notes of toasted corn and burnt rice. Fresh saddle leather and green herbs follow on the nose, while paint thinner aromas dissipate after a short rest. The palate reveals prominent mint and black pepper with distinct vegetal characteristics unique to the pelón verde agave.

Color: Crystalline, very bright, with slight cold flashes could be perceived such as silver, very faint bluish or cold light gray under certain lighting conditions. Clarity: Clean and transparent, without impurities or turbidity.
Olfactory Phase
Aromatic profile with a combination of citrus, fruity, herbal and sweet notes. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine and grapefruit stand out, accompanied by apple yellow, mint and cinnamon, along with a sweet caramel note. The intensity aromatic is average, as is the alcoholic sensation.

About the Brand
Agua del Sol was created by Felix Hernández Monterrosa and Adriana Correa, who are perhaps most well-known as the owners and operators of the Mezcales CUISH mezcalerias in Oaxaca City. Given the demands of the two mezcalerias, as well as some additional agave projects, the two of them created Agua del Sol with the intention of using to brand to present tiny batches of mezcal to the world.
