Antiguo de Herradura Reposado is a tequila aged in American White Oak barrels. Produced under NOM 1119 in Jalisco, this spirit uses Tequilana agave. The distillery employs a diffuser and roller mill for milling, followed by stainless steel fermentation. Two distillations in column and copper coil stills create a base with cooked agave notes. Vanilla, citrus, and white pepper emerge on the palate alongside light earthiness. Seasonal variations influence fermentation, causing body to range from thin to thick. Some batches show sweet fruitiness while others present harsher medicinal qualities.
