Herradura Colección de la Casa Reserva 2013 Reposado, Cognac Cask Finish is a tequila from Jalisco finished in cognac casks. This NOM 1119 spirit uses Tequilana agave from Los Valles and rests eleven months in medium-char oak. It then moves to French cognac barrels for three additional months. The nose presents dry wood, barrel spices, and cinnamon with a distinct agave profile. Palate notes include sweet fruit, honey, butterscotch, and vanilla alongside prevalent oak. The finish is warm with lingering minty spice that builds gradually yet dissipates quickly, leaving a dry and sweet conclusion.
