Arette Añejo is a tequila aged in used bourbon barrels from Jalisco’s Los Valles region under NOM 1109. This spirit uses Tequilana agave cooked in an autoclave and milled via roller mill before double distillation. Aromas of caramel, cooked agave, and baking spice lead to a palate featuring vanilla and pepper. Heavy oak influence brings a charred finish reminiscent of bourbon while maintaining agave character. Deep well water supports fermentation in stainless steel tanks for this full-bodied spirit that offers rich complexity and a lingering spicy warmth on the finish.
