Bozal Ancestral Cupreata
Bozal Ancestral Cupreata is a Joven mezcal made from the Cupreata agave species. The spirit presents a dark, herbal profile with earthy undertones and complex spices. Notes of smoke blend with black pepper and green chili for a bold character. Initial sweetness remains reserved, giving way to minerality and wet wood on the palate. Floral aromas of white tea and chamomile emerge alongside smoke. The finish is longlasting, offering medium heat that suits cooler weather well. This limited edition bottle delivers a respectful nod to traditional production methods.

About the Brand
Mezcal Bozal is a craft, artisan, handmade Mezcal. They celebrate the wild side of the Mezcal world and the wild agave used to produce such rich spirits. They use agave from the steep precarious hillsides of Oaxaca and Guerrero that are indigenous to the region. These varietals produce flavors that are exotically intense, with rich earth tones and savory smokiness. From the heart of the maguey these flavors are traditionally extracted to produce mezcal that is wildly refined. In November 2024, Bozal was acquired and brought under Mexican ownership by Maguey Spirits.
