Bozal Pechuga
Bozal Pechuga is a Cuishe mezcal from Rio de Ejutla, distilled with chicken breast. The profile offers roasted fruits, nuts, and broth alongside red apple and grape notes. Minerality and savory undertones ground the palate, while cinnamon and baking spice add warmth. A viscous mouthfeel reflects the pechuga process, yet the finish remains short and dry. Herbaceous cilantro and earthy tones emerge clearly on the nose. This spirit balances sweet citrus with briny salinity, delivering a bold character typical of its region and production method.

About the Brand
Mezcal Bozal is a craft, artisan, handmade Mezcal. They celebrate the wild side of the Mezcal world and the wild agave used to produce such rich spirits. They use agave from the steep precarious hillsides of Oaxaca and Guerrero that are indigenous to the region. These varietals produce flavors that are exotically intense, with rich earth tones and savory smokiness. From the heart of the maguey these flavors are traditionally extracted to produce mezcal that is wildly refined. In November 2024, Bozal was acquired and brought under Mexican ownership by Maguey Spirits.
