Caminitos Espadin – Sergio Cruz Martinez
Caminitos Espadin, Sergio Cruz Martinez is a joven destilado de agave from San Pedro Quiatoni, Oaxaca. This spirit uses Angustifolia agave milled in a tahona and distilled in copper. The nose presents bright, green aromas of lemongrass and wet clay soil alongside pineapple chunks. The palate begins with sweet, saline notes before revealing underripe vegetal qualities and dried tobacco. Banana esters emerge on the back end, followed by intense peppercorn spice that lingers long after each sip. Metallic copper minerality anchors the finish, delivering a robust profile without unnecessary complexity.

About the Brand
Caminitos is built around a familiar and compelling foundation: exploration, relationships, and a respect for traditional mezcal production. The name, meaning “little paths,” refers to both the literal roads leading to rural palenques and the founders’ journey through Mexico’s mezcal-producing regions. Rather than focusing on a single producer or village, Caminitos sources from multiple regions across Mexico, aiming to highlight a diversity of agave traditions, techniques, and terroirs.
