Campo Azul Gran Clasico Añejo is a 100% Tequilana agave tequila from Jalisco. NOM 1416 identifies this producer in Los Altos Southern region. The spirit ages in used American White Oak whisky barrels for depth. Stone brick ovens and autoclaves cook the agave hearts before roller mill milling. Stainless steel tanks handle fermentation while column and pot stills distill the liquid twice. Deep well water supports this 40% abv spirit available at Trader Joe’s for fifteen dollars and ninety-nine cents.
