Campo Azul Single Barrel (Mexican Wine) is an Extra Añejo tequila aged nearly eight years in used wine casks. Produced by Campo Azul under NOM 1416, this spirit hails from Jalisco’s Los Altos Southern region. The Tequilana agave undergoes stone and brick oven cooking, followed by roller mill milling and stainless steel fermentation. Distillation occurs twice in a stainless pot still with a copper coil, using deep well water. The extended aging imparts distinct tannins and subtle vinous nuances while preserving the agave profile.

Sweet notes of pineapple are perceived and a sweetness reminiscent of caramel. Acidic flavors predominate, accompanied by a subtle sweetness. The alcoholic sensation is medium-low. The aftertaste shows an average persistence, dominated by citrus notes and fruity. Notes of pineapple, orange and lime are perceived.
