La Tersa Plata is a Raicilla Joven spirit. Raicilla originates from Jalisco and parts of Nayarit, recognized by Mexican denomination of origin rules since 2019. Producers in the Sierra and Costa zones utilize wild agave species such as Agave maximiliana or Agave valenciana. This Joven designation indicates an unaged expression, bottled directly after distillation without wood contact. Unlike tequila blends that may include additives or aged components, this label remains clear and young. La Tersa Plata fits squarely within the traditional Raicilla category as a fresh, unaged spirit.
