Luneta Cuishe, Angelica Garcia Vazquez is a Joven Destilado de Agave by Lucero. This spirit uses Karwinskii agave from San Baltazar Chichicapam, Oaxaca. Angelica Garcia Vazquez mills the agave in a tahona and distills it in copper. The nose shows heavy walnut and musty notes on the palate. Violets, black licorice, and spearmint sweetness follow with heat. An aftertaste of peppermint mouthwash and charred oak lingers. Some note a strange anise character distinct from typical cuishe expressions. 7 percent alcohol by volume in small format bottles that may influence the final sensory perception of this specific pour.
