Macheé Amariilo, Verdito, Espadin
Macheé Amariilo, Verdito, Espadin is a Destilado de Agave ensamble from Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. Producer Leo Garcia blends Angustifolia, Karwinskii, and Rhodacantha agaves at 47.3 percent abv. The aroma presents cashew butter, pine needles, and lemons alongside subtle hay funk. A champagne-like effervescent start leads to sour grape candy, herbs, and peppercorns on the palate. Sweetness increases with each sip while smoke and spice achieve balance. Notes of mango candy, autumn spices, and creamy textures emerge as the spirit opens in the glass. This nuanced blend hides its proof well while integrating roasted agave flavors with distinct vegetal and earthy undertones.
