Señor Sotol Ancestral is a Joven sotol from Durango produced in May 2024. This spirit presents big and robust aromas of barnyard, straw, hay, grass clippings, orange, grapefruit and light cream. The intense palate delivers dry earth, soft sugars, dry leaves, hay, cherries, peach and bubblegum. Despite a soft and velvety mouthfeel, the flavors remain bright and intense. This unlabelled hacienda purchase showcases the distinct character of Durango’s desert agave, offering a complex profile that balances rustic earthiness with vibrant fruit notes in every sip.

Color: Crystalline, very bright, with slight cold flashes could be perceived such as silver, very faint bluish or cold light gray under certain lighting conditions. Clarity: Clean and transparent, without impurities or turbidity.
Olfactory Phase
Aromatic profile with a combination of citrus, fruity, herbal and sweet notes. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine and grapefruit stand out, accompanied by apple yellow, mint and cinnamon, along with a sweet caramel note. The intensity aromatic is average, as is the alcoholic sensation.

About the Brand
Señor Sotol is a tribute to the generations of sotoleros who have perfected the art of crafting this unique spirit. Produced by Don Juan Conde in Durango, Señor Sotol is made using wild Dasylirion harvested from the San Nicolás region and neighboring ejidos. The entire process is guided by tradition, from cooking the plants in volcanic stone ovens to natural fermentation, capturing the true essence of the Sierra. Each bottle represents a journey through the rich history of northern Mexico, delivering an authentic taste of the desert’s rugged landscape.
