Cabal Añejo 44° (NOM 1480) is a high-proof tequila from Jalisco’s Los Valles region. Produced by Tequila Cabal under NOM 1646, it utilizes 100% Tequilana agave for its distinct character. The spirit matures in used French and whisky barrels to develop a complex profile. Cooked agave leads the nose, followed by vanilla, caramel, and toasted oak notes. Spices like cinnamon and black pepper provide warmth against the sweet agave base. Dried fruit adds depth to the medium-full body while 44% ABV ensures rich viscosity. Spearmint and orange peel linger on the finish, balancing the bourbon barrel influence completely.
