Don Lorenzo Cuishe
Don Lorenzo Cuishe is a joven mezcal from Santa Maria Zoquitlan made with 12 to 15 year old maguey. The agave roasts in red oak and ferments naturally with spring water before distillation in a copper alembic. Aromas present as soft and nearly smokeless, offering subtle taste with light sweetness. Earthy notes and faint mint emerge on the backend of the palate. The finish feels juicy, recalling salt water taffy flavors without heavy smokiness or aggressive heat. This spirit reflects the specific terroir and traditional production methods of its Oaxacan origin with clarity.
