Ultramundo Lamparillo – Colectivo Pelayo
Ultramundo Lamparillo, Colectivo Pelayo is a joven mezcal from Durango. Asperrima agave grows in the arid soils of Mapimi, providing distinct earthy notes. Colectivo Pelayo mills these piñas by hand to preserve cellular structure. Distillation happens in traditional Duranguense stills, ensuring a robust and spirited profile. The spirit remains unaged to highlight the raw character of the agave plant. Bottling occurs at forty five percent alcohol by volume for a clean finish. This expression captures the unique terroir of the Durango region effectively.

About the Brand
Ultramundo Mezcal is an agroforestry project. They’re attempting to foster a balanced relationship with nature through craft spirits, specifically artisanal mezcal, using the agaves from their 24,000-acre ranch in Mapimí, Durango. They leave at least 20% of the agaves that reach maturity to do what they do naturally: go to seed and regenerate their population.
