Yuku Savi Pitzometl, Felix Macedas is a Joven mezcal from San Luis Atolotitlan, Puebla. Producer Felix Macedas uses marmorata agave for this spirit. Milling occurs in a tahona while distillation happens in copper stills. The profile features vegetal spice and lactic acidity with green watermelon rind notes. Sweet pickles, wet paper, and charred yellow onions appear on the palate. A mineral dry finish balances the sweet and savory elements found in this batch. This 49 percent ABV expression offers a unique interpretation of the region. It avoids typical sharp funk while maintaining a harmonious structure across its aromatic layers.
