Gusto Historico Cuixe con Espadin de Milpa y Tepextate, Santos is a Destilado de Agave ensamble from Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. This 46.6 percent spirit blends Angustifolia, Karwinskii, and Marmorata agaves. Producer Eusebio Santos mills the hearts in a tahona before distilling them in copper. The bouquet reveals lemongrass, spearmint, molasses, and a subtle lactic note. The palate delivers briny fruitiness with sea salt and crack pepper. Further flavors include grapefruit, strawberry greens, hatch chiles, sweet cream, soil, char, yogurt, cacao, persimmon, peach, chocolate, orange, lemon, green chile, and grapefruit peel.
