Leyendas Ancho (Guerrero) is a Joven mezcal from Mazatlán, Guerrero. Producers Oscar Obregon and Rodolfo Obregón craft this spirit using Cupreata agave. The label holds NOM-O117X certification for production standards. Distillation occurs in copper stills after ten years of agave growth. Aromas reveal menthol, lemon drops, and wet stone notes. Palate flavors include ocean brine, white pepper, and agave nectar. The texture remains creamy with distinct mineral undertones. This profile highlights the unique regional character of Guerrero while maintaining a clean finish that reflects the careful work of the mezcalero.

Aromatic profile with a combination of citrus, fruity, herbal and sweet notes. Aromas of pineapple, tangerine and grapefruit stand out, accompanied by apple yellow, mint and cinnamon, along with a sweet caramel note. The intensity aromatic is average, as is the alcoholic sensation.

About the Brand
Mezcal de Leyendas (previously labeled as Mezcales de Leyenda) believes they can improve some of the most marginalized communities in Mexico. They implement the best fair trade practices where they work, and they have many efforts in agave sustainability. Their mezcals come from the different mezcal-producing states. They also have some special edition, small-batch mezcals. The brand also releases the Pelotón de la Muerte line of mezcals. In 2021, the brand (under Artisanal Distillates, LLC) raised money via the StartEngine platform at a $32.7 million pre-money valuation.
