Leyendas Maguey Arroqueno Angelica Garcia Vazquez is a Joven mezcal defined by wet firewood and citrus notes. The nose presents sweet roasted bell peppers, dark chocolate, and light smoke alongside roasted marshmallow and cinnamon. On the palate, vanilla and candied apple mingle with freshly ground pepper, BBQ sauce, and root beer. Banana and lemon peel add brightness while paprika introduces spice. Viscosity builds slowly with a smooth, savory finish that retains warmth without biting heat. Wet desert dirt grounds the full-bodied profile in a complex yet accessible spirit.

About the Brand
Mezcal de Leyendas (previously labeled as Mezcales de Leyenda) believes they can improve some of the most marginalized communities in Mexico. They implement the best fair trade practices where they work, and they have many efforts in agave sustainability. Their mezcals come from the different mezcal-producing states. They also have some special edition, small-batch mezcals. The brand also releases the Pelotón de la Muerte line of mezcals. In 2021, the brand (under Artisanal Distillates, LLC) raised money via the StartEngine platform at a $32.7 million pre-money valuation.
