Los Cantiles 1905 Bacanora Reposado
Los Cantiles 1905 Bacanora Reposado is a restored agave spirit from Sonora protected by Mexican denomination of origin rules since 2000. It is distilled exclusively from Agave angustifolia Haw, which locals call yaquiana or agave pacifica. Production remains restricted to thirty five municipalities in eastern Sonora after a long prohibition ended in 1992. This reposado version rests in oak containers for at least two months but less than one year. The brief wood aging adds light color and rounds the spirit while keeping the agave character prominent within this specific regional category.

About the Brand
The Portillo Family started producing Bacanoras, Lechuguillas and Palmillas back in 1905 when Don Refugio Portillo, Jose Luis Portillo’s great grandfather, founded “Rancho La Nopalera.” The project includes replanting agaves and promoting Opata Traditions, an ethnic group that is almost extinct. Their bottles are 100% recycled glass, made by hand by artisan workers, promoting economic grow in the region.
