Puntiagudo Tobala, Joel López is a joven destilado de agave from Miahuatlán, Oaxaca. This expression uses the Potatorum agave species for its distinct character. Producer Joel Lopez mills the hearts by hand before distilling in a refrescador. The lot JL-TOB-01 presents bright floral and fruity aromas of geraniums, coconut oil, hempseed, pine, raspberry, blackberry, and orange. Soft notes of mineral rock salt, raw honey, oak, coconut, and fresh flowers emerge on the palate. The spirit has a medium body with a touch of heat on the finish, balancing herbal complexity with subtle sweetness.
